Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Actuary to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be skilled in data analysis, risk assessment, and insurance solutions. You will primarily focus on evaluating financial risks and developing policies that manage these risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate datasets using complex statistical software.
• Support the development of effective risk management strategies.
• Keep abreast of industry trends to provide relevant insights.
• Participate in peer reviews of actuarial work to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Work closely on projects aimed at improving operational efficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Statistics
• Master's degree in Actuarial Science is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a related actuarial role

• Data Modeling
• Excel (Advanced)

Certifications

• Certified Actuary (CAS)
• Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
