Job Description

We are looking for a Public Health Dentist to lead initiatives aimed at improving oral health in communities across South Africa. The ideal candidate will educate the public on oral hygiene and provide essential dental care, focusing on prevention and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in public health research and apply findings to community practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community health programs.
  • Work alongside other health professionals to coordinate care.
  • Organize community events to promote health awareness.
  • Advise on policy-making to enhance public health initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff in dental practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in Public Health is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working with vulnerable populations in public health.
