Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to enhance our security posture in Pretoria. The successful candidate will design and implement security strategies to protect sensitive information, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. This role involves collaboration with various teams to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement threat detection and response systems.
• Communicate security protocols and best practices to all staff members.
• Collaborate with external partners to enhance cybersecurity strategies.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts and reports.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans.
• Provide assistance during cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
• Manage security budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Report to the CISO on security status and improvement initiatives.
• Participate in cybersecurity conferences and training events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles is essential
