Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banker to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance and a proven track record of successfully advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising. You will work closely with clients, managing relationships and ensuring that their financial needs are met with excellence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and evaluate investment opportunities.
• Prepare financial documents and reports for investment committees.
• Guide clients through the complexities of financial transactions.
• Collaborate on internal and external marketing strategies.
• Act as a liaison between clients and potential investors.
• Oversight of project timelines to ensure efficient deal execution.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay ahead of market developments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline
• An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years in investment banking with a focus on client advisory

Technical Skills

• Mergers & Acquisitions

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• CFA Level 2 or higher
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
