Job Description

As a Civil Rights Advocate with us, you will be at the forefront of championing social change and fighting for the rights of individuals in our communities. You will engage with stakeholders, lead initiatives, and develop programs aimed at promoting civil liberties and social justice.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze current civil rights challenges.
  • Develop partnerships with other advocacy groups.
  • Lead community workshops to promote civil rights awareness.
  • Draft policy recommendations based on research findings.
  • Engage with government bodies to influence legislation.
  • Facilitate dialogues between stakeholders for collaboration.
  • Create and distribute informational materials for outreach.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the organization during events.
  • Document and report progress on advocacy initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Policy or similar is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in advocacy or community organizing
