Chartered Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in both auditing and financial management, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance and accuracy in our financial reporting. You will play a key role in advising clients and enhancing their financial strategies, while leading a team of passionate professionals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Support the CFO in financial analysis and decision support.
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to management.
• Establish and maintain effective accounting policies and procedures.
• Participate in financial audits and liaise with auditors.
• Assist in tax planning and compliance efforts.
• Provide leadership in improving the financial reporting process.
• Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and assist with their financial queries.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• Post-graduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred

Certifications

• Registered Auditor (RA) is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Advanced
