Costume Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Costume Technician to manage the creation, alteration, and maintenance of costumes for our productions. This role will involve collaborating with the costume designer and production team to ensure all costumes meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and fitting of costumes for cast members.
• Design, construct, and alter garments based on the costume designer's specifications.
• Ensure all costumes are stored properly and are accessible for performances.
• Coordinate with the stage management team regarding costume needs during performances.
• Assist in the documentation and tracking of costumes and props.
• Oversee wardrobe rehearsals to ensure all actors are comfortable with their costumes.
• Engage in the artistic process to suggest and implement new ideas.
• Maintain a clean and organized costume workshop and fitting areas.

• Experience with costume rental processes: Familiar with sourcing and managing rental costumes for productions.
