Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Short Order Cook to join our busy kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food items quickly and efficiently while ensuring high-quality standards and food safety protocols are met.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items to meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Monitor food expiration dates and assist in stock rotation.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss menu changes and improvements.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen for meal service.
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications accurately.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming in line with industry standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant culinary qualification
  • Food safety and hygiene certification
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a kitchen environment preferred
Technical Skills
  • Cooking expertise

Certifications
  • Food Safety Level 1
Languages
  • English: Fluent
