Bus Inspector

Job Description

The Bus Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all buses are safe and roadworthy. This role encompasses conducting regular inspections, reporting faults, and overseeing timely repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive safety checks on all buses.
• Outline and document any identified issues systematically.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule repairs.
• Compile reports for management on inspection findings.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss safety practices.
• Serve as a safety advisor to drivers and other transport staff.
• Participate in training programs for continuous improvement.
• Support the rollout of new safety procedures.

Advantageous

• Experience with vehicle monitoring systems: Hands-on experience in utilizing vehicle tracking and monitoring systems for compliance.
• Previous training experience in a transportation environment: Demonstrated knowledge in conducting training and development for operators or drivers.
