Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering project management, overseeing all phases from inception to completion. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing project timelines and resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning meetings and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
• Monitor project progress and adapt plans as necessary.
• Prepare and present project updates to management.
• Manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement processes.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project success.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Act as the main point of contact for project-related inquiries.
• Facilitate training for new team members on project protocols.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineering License is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in project engineering

• MS Project

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in Primavera P6: Experience with Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management.
• Familiarity with BIM Technologies: Knowledge of Building Information Modeling technologies for project efficiency.
