Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and engineering design. You will be responsible for developing engineering solutions that promote sustainable practices and minimize environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects aimed at reducing the ecological footprint of operations.
• Ensure all engineering solutions are environmentally sound and sustainable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into all projects.
• Conduct field studies and site inspections as required.
• Prepare proposals and presentations for new projects and initiatives.
• Engage in continuous professional development related to environmental science and engineering.
• Prepare grant applications for funding environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Master’s degree in Environmental Studies or similar is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant environmental role
