Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to safeguard our digital assets and develop strategies to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have experience in threat assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security risks and recommend appropriate security measures.
• Implement security tools and technologies to enhance protection.
• Conduct threat hunting exercises to identify potential security weaknesses.
• Collaborate with external security experts for audits and assessments.
• Create and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Advise on risk management strategies and compliance requirements.
• Lead security incident investigations and reporting.
• Ensure data protection and privacy policies are adhered to.
• Maintain documentation of security protocols and incidents.
• Facilitate workshops and training to raise security awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in cybersecurity or related fields
