Job Description

The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of health and safety regulations and be able to conduct risk assessments and audits effectively. You will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure company compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs.
  • Assist in the preparation of safety audits.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports.
  • Support the implementation of health promotion initiatives.
  • Monitor the use of safety equipment and gear.
  • Provide advice regarding safety equipment and protocols.
  • Engage with employees to improve safety engagement.
  • Coordinate with external safety consultants when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety Management or a related field
  • Certification from professional health and safety bodies is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in health and safety advisory role
