We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Port Elizabeth team. Your role will involve assessing risk and determining policy terms for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that our policies are well-informed and comprehensive.

Responsibilities

• Analyze risk factors and set insurance policy pricing.
• Work closely with agents to evaluate client needs.
• Review and revise policy documents for accuracy.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to all stakeholders.
• Implement effective strategies for risk assessment.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
• Assist in the development of new insurance products.
• Participate in audits and compliance checks.
• Support marketing efforts by providing expertise in underwriting.
• Promote a customer-centric approach in all interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Risk Management is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in underwriting

• Underwriting Software Proficiency

Languages

• English: Fluent
