Project Controls Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and maintain project controls processes, ensuring successful project delivery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate project plans and structures to achieve defined objectives.
• Oversee project budgets and work with finance teams to ensure fiscal compliance.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support project delivery and stakeholder management.
• Develop risk management plans and conduct regular risk assessments.
• Generate comprehensive reports to communicate project progress to stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective decision-making by providing accurate project data.
• Support the implementation of project management software tools.
• Coordinate training for project team members on project control processes.
• Review contractor progress and provide feedback on performance.
• Assist in the evaluation of project performance metrics and KPIs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree in Project Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in a similar role, ideally within construction or infrastructure projects

• Certified Cost Technician (CCT)
