Environmental Engineer

Job Description

As an Environmental Engineer at EcoSolutions, you will leverage your skills to drive projects that safeguard our natural resources. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to innovate and implement green solutions that aid in sustainability efforts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the environmental implications of proposed projects and developments.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop environmentally-friendly designs.
• Facilitate training sessions on environmental compliance for staff.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented environmental programs.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainability.
• Research new technologies and methodologies in environmental engineering.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Report on the progress of environmental projects to senior management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or relevant discipline
• Master's degree in Environmental Policy is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in consultancy or engineering roles focused on environmental solutions

• Experience working with government and regulatory agencies: Familiarity with negotiation and compliance processes in South Africa.
