Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Therapist to join our Pretoria team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to provide evidence-based therapeutic services to families facing various challenges. You'll play a crucial role in promoting mental health and enhancing family dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Administer assessments to determine clients' needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Guide families through therapeutic processes to enhance relational skills.
  • Engage with community resources to support clients.
  • Document treatment sessions and outcomes for quality assurance.
  • Provide referrals to additional services as needed.
  • Develop and implement family-focused workshops.
  • Advocate for family mental health resources in the community.
  • Conduct follow-up sessions and assess progress towards therapeutic goals.
  • Network with local organizations to stay updated on mental health trends.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to foster a learning environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Counseling or related field
  • Additional certifications in family therapy are preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working with families.
