Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Planner to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will assist in managing projects that focus on sustainable urban development, land use planning, and environmental impact assessments. You will work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to create solutions that meet regulatory requirements and promote sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of environmental management plans for urban projects.
• Assess potential environmental impacts of proposed developments and propose mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations through rigorous project monitoring.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
• Research and implement sustainable practices in urban planning.
• Support project teams in the execution of environmental assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation regarding environmental evaluations.
• Prepare and present findings to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Urban Planning
• Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or planning
