SOC Analyst

Job Description

Join us as a SOC Analyst in Durban, where you will utilize your skills to monitor security events and respond to threats. You will be part of a team that defends our networks and data against cyber attacks and implements proactive security measures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily SOC operations by monitoring security dashboards.
• Investigate alerts generated by various security solutions.
• Engage in incident response exercises to enhance readiness.
• Assist in training employees on security awareness and best practices.
• Develop and refine detection use cases and response playbooks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a security operations center or a similar role

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
