Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with clients to provide tailored financial advice and solutions, while also contributing to team growth and success.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting processes, including monthly closes.
• Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and compliance checks.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies.
• Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgets.
• Provide guidance on financial strategy to clients.
• Prepare reports on financial performance for management review.
• Maintain relationships with clients and provide them with financial advice.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Support the finance team in various administrative tasks.
• Help train junior accounting staff.

Requirements

Education

• BCom Accounting or equivalent
• Professional certification in accounting is desirable

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience

• English: Fluent
