DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud technologies, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. You'll collaborate closely with our developers to streamline our operations and enhance productivity across our software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to improve deployment processes and operational workflows.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance DevOps practices.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline operational tasks.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies for security and data privacy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles

• Azure
• Bash/Shell Scripting

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Jenkins Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog for performance tracking.
