Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing our cybersecurity posture to safeguard our digital assets and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and analyze security systems and logs for anomalies.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing detailed reports.
• Work with teams to design and implement secure system architecture.
• Evaluate existing security tools and consider improvements.
• Engage in incident response drills and contribute to security training.
• Assist in maintaining and updating cybersecurity threat intelligence.
• Support compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT or equivalent
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in a cybersecurity-related role

Technical Skills

• Firewall Management
• Penetration Testing

Soft Skills

• Project Management

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with scripting languages: Familiarity with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Security certifications: Additional certifications in the cybersecurity domain are advantageous.
