As an Actuary based in Durban, you will have the opportunity to apply your quantitative skills to evaluate financial risks and support our clients in establishing sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
Design and execute actuarial studies and reports.
Create and refine pricing models based on statistical findings.
Evaluate financial risks for new insurance products.
Work closely with the underwriting team to assess risk.
Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets for data analysis.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to non-actuarial staff.
Research market trends and emerging risks.
Participate in client meetings and provide actuarial insight.
Support the development of internal training programs.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
Fellowship with a recognized actuarial body is preferred
Experience
3+ years of experience in actuarial consulting or related fields
