Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our information systems from cyber threats, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain incident response protocols.
  • Review and update the organization's security policies and procedures.
  • Act as the main point of contact for security incidents and requests.
  • Coordinate with external security agencies as needed.
  • Utilize security technologies to enhance the overall security posture.
  • Run simulations and drills to test incident response skills.
  • Lead security awareness programs to educate employees about risks and mitigation techniques.
  • Ensure systems are patched and updated to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems or related field
  • Certifications in cybersecurity (CISSP, CEH) are preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles
