Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medication, providing patient education, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the distribution of medications and manage inventory.
  • Conduct health and wellness screenings for patients.
  • Deliver effective patient education on all aspects of medication usage.
  • Assess and recommend pharmaceutical care plans.
  • Engage in health education efforts within the community.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
  • Assist in the management of pharmacy budgets and expenses.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is compliant with health regulations.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
  • Document all patient consultations and prescription modifications.

Requirements

Education
  • Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) preferred
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is beneficial
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience highly desirable
