Job Description

Looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to enhance our dynamic team in Pretoria. You will play a crucial role in the evaluation and corrective designs of existing structures as well as new projects. Your technical skills will ensure structures comply with safety standards while meeting environmental sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain structural designs in compliance with local standards.
• Conduct load calculations using appropriate engineering methods.
• Work with architects to create cohesive project designs.
• Review existing structural designs for feasibility and effectiveness.
• Coordinate with surveyors and engineers during project execution.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation regarding structural designs.
• Research new materials and methodologies for structural engineering.
• Participate in safety assessments and risk analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a bonus
• PhD in a related field is a plus

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in complex structural projects

Technical Skills

• LEED Certification
• Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Structural Engineering License

Languages
