Job Description

As the Chief Assessor of State Properties, you will oversee the assessment and valuation of state-owned properties ensuring compliance with legal requirements while optimizing revenue potential. This role demands exceptional leadership and a strategic approach to property assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of property assessment strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal requirements governing property valuations.
  • Support and mentor staff in their assessment duties.
  • Analyze assessment data to report on trends and other insights.
  • Engage with external agencies and stakeholders for collaborative projects.
  • Ensure timely submission of assessment results to stakeholders.
  • Explore and implement innovative revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage budgets associated with assessment projects.
  • Review the effectiveness of current assessment methodologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Property Valuation, or related field
  • Professional Certifications are advantageous, such as IAAO.
Experience
  • 10 years of experience in property assessment with at least 5 years in management.
