Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Crushing, Grinding, and Polishing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining roll grinding machines to produce rolls to specification for our production processes. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in maintaining the machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate roll grinding machines to meet production specifications.
• Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and logs.
• Collaborate with team members to improve process efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues quickly.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in machining or mechanical engineering

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

Technical Skills

• CNC machining
• Quality control procedures

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a production environment: Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing settings will be beneficial.
