Responsibilities

• Provide grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling.
• Assess pets' grooming needs and recommend services to owners.
• Follow health and safety regulations concerning pet care.
• Document client feedback and address any concerns.
• Maintain a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere in the salon.
• Promote retail products to pet owners.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Pet Grooming or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of professional pet grooming experience

Technical Skills

• Grooming Equipment Proficiency
• Animal Behavior Understanding

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Professional Groomer
• First Aid Certification for Animals

Languages

• English: Fluent
• IsiZulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with exotic pets: Ability to groom exotic pets is a plus.
• Skills in retail pet products: Experience in promoting and selling pet products would be beneficial.
