Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Weather Teacher to develop and deliver engaging weather-related lessons to a diverse group of students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in meteorology, enabling them to present complex concepts in an engaging and relatable manner.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver effective lesson plans that encompass the principles of meteorology.
  • Maintain an interactive and encouraging learning space for students.
  • Assess and monitor student performance, providing constructive insights.
  • Work alongside other faculty members to create engaging and cross-disciplinary projects.
  • Keep abreast of changing weather conditions and trends in meteorology.
  • Utilise innovative teaching techniques that promote active participation.
  • Employ educational technology to enhance lesson delivery.
  • Facilitate outdoor education experiences, linking classroom learning with real-world weather events.
  • Engage in professional development to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking skills among students.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Science or similar
  • Teaching qualification is advantageous
Experience
  • At least 2 years teaching experience, ideally in an educational environment.
