We are looking for an adept Data Engineer in Johannesburg who can design, develop, and implement data management solutions. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions that enhance our data capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analytics teams to support data science projects.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data flows and storage issues.

• Participate in architecture discussions and technology upgrades.
• Ensure data security and compliance with legal regulations.
• Assist in stakeholder workshops for requirement gathering.
• Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the data team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline
• Relevant certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of extensive experience in data management
