Job Description

Seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our highly respected practice in Johannesburg. You will perform assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes and promote a community-focused approach to health.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical abilities and preparation for treatment.
• Conduct effective sessions in manual therapy, electrotherapy, and other modalities.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns in best physiotherapy practices.
• Engage patients in active rehabilitation exercises.
• Provide pre and post-operative care to surgical patients.
• Keep detailed treatment documentation and evaluation reports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews to provide holistic patient care.
• Foster positive therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
• Investigate risk factors affecting patient recovery.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a physiotherapy role or similar

Technical Skills

• Sports Physiotherapy

Certifications

• Advanced Physiotherapy Certification
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Proficient

Advantageous

• Experience with Geriatric Patients: Skills in treating aging populations and their unique rehabilitation needs.
• Acute Care Experience: Involvement with acute care settings will be advantageous.
