Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist to join our Johannesburg pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medication, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Evaluate drug interactions and contraindications for patient safety.
  • Provide drug utilization review and therapeutic recommendations.
  • Assist in developing pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Engage in community outreach and health promotion activities.
  • Document patient consultations and pharmacy activities accurately.
  • Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Support the team in achieving performance goals and objectives.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a pharmacy setting
