Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Technician-Surgical Assistant (COT-SA) to join our professional team. In this role, you will assist our ophthalmologists during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will have experience in a surgical setting and a strong commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Support ophthalmologists during surgical procedures by providing assistance as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterility in the operating environment.
  • Care for patients pre- and post-surgery, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Document detailed patient records and surgical outcomes.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.
  • Assist in training new staff and interns on procedures.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as delegated by the ophthalmologist.

Requirements

Education
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician-Surgical Assistant (COT-SA) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 2 years of experience in an ophthalmic surgical setting.
