Job Description

The Chief Sustainability Officer will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainable energy practices within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of energy management and sustainability initiatives, working closely with various teams to achieve environmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sustainability team in developing innovative energy solutions that align with corporate goals.
• Promote a culture of sustainability across the organization through education and engagement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability projects and initiatives.
• Analyse industry trends and best practices to inform sustainability strategies.
• Manage project budgets and timelines for sustainability initiatives.
• Report sustainability progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Create resource materials to support employee training on sustainability practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required

Experience

• 5+ years of experience developing sustainability programs

Technical Skills

• Greenhouse Gas Emission Tracking Software
• Renewable Energy Management

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Leadership Skills

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification
• Sustainability Associate (ISSO)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System: Hands-on experience with implementing ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience with LEED certification processes: Knowledge of the criteria and processes for obtaining LEED certification.
