Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Cloud Engineer to enhance our DevOps and Cloud Computing team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will have a solid background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and a passion for implementing innovative solutions that drive efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud solutions that are scalable and resilient.
• Lead initiatives for improving cloud automation and efficiency.
• Engage with vendors and technology partners to leverage cloud solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations in cloud deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers in cloud practices and technologies.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for cloud services.
• Evaluate and deploy new cloud technologies to enhance capabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant cloud certifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of cloud engineering experience

• Cloud Services Management

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like CloudWatch or Prometheus for monitoring services.
