Job Description

We're currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of electrical systems within renewable energy projects. Assume a key role in projects that prioritise both efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical projects focused on renewable energy.
• Review designs for adherence to industry regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.
• Design and analyze electrical distribution systems for efficiency and performance.
• Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and management.
• Prepare tender documents and contribute to bid evaluation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Utilize CAD software for the preparation of engineering drawings.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development within the engineering field.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Additional certifications in renewable energy are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years focusing on electrical engineering for power generation systems
