Job Description

We're currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of electrical systems within renewable energy projects. Assume a key role in projects that prioritise both efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical design projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outputs.
• Perform simulations and analyses to enhance the performance of power systems.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and safety standards in project execution.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and components.
• Facilitate project meetings and report on progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation is maintained for all electrical designs and systems.
• Evaluate new technologies for integration into current projects.
• Support project management by providing electrical scopes and deliverables.
• Engage with regulatory bodies for permits and project approvals.
• Assist in the planning and execution of electrical maintenance programmes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Additional certifications in renewable energy are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years focusing on electrical engineering for power generation systems
