Job Description

Seeking a proficient Chemical Engineer to join our Cape Town team. This role involves developing new chemical processes, conducting experiments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will collaborate closely with production teams to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the scaling up of chemical processes from laboratory to full production.
• Develop and implement quality control measures.
• Assist in the formulation of chemical product specifications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment for chemical processing.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage safety protocols.
• Analyze data and prepare reports on process efficiency.
• Participate in product development and innovation initiatives.
• Engage with suppliers and vendors to assess new materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement programs within the company.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Postgraduate degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in a similar role
