Job Description

We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Cape Town office. In this role, you will play a significant part in our mission of delivering high-quality accounting services. Your responsibilities will include managing financial transactions, preparing tax returns, and ensuring the integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain daily transactions and financial activities.
  • Create and issue invoices to clients and follow up on payments.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns on time.
  • Manage and maintain digital filing systems for financial documents.
  • Provide support during financial audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric with accounting as a subject
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance is advantageous
Experience
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
Technical Skills
  • Accounting Software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Excel
  • Financial Reporting
Soft Skills
  • Attention to Detail
  • Time Management
Certifications
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
  • SAIPA / CIMA certification is a plus
Languages
  • English: Fluent
