Job Responsibilities
  • Implement research protocols under the guidance of the Research Manager.
  • Support in the training of interns and volunteers in field techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data collection methods.
  • Contribute to the development of community outreach programs.
  • Participate in discussions to enhance research strategies.
  • Document fieldwork processes and findings accurately.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Science or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • Data Analysis Proficient in data analysis techniques and software.
  • Fieldwork Techniques Skilled in various fieldwork methodologies.
  • Survey Design Experience designing effective survey tools.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork Strong ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
  • Adaptability Ability to adapt to changing environments and situations.
  • Field Research Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • English (Fluent)
  • Zulu (Basic)
Advantageous
  • Knowledge of local ecological systems: Understanding of local ecological systems and their dynamics.
  • Experience in community engagement: Prior experience working with communities on research initiatives.
