Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Field Researcher to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting data on environmental conditions and agricultural practices. You will work closely with diverse communities, providing valuable insights to enhance our research capabilities and promote sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement research protocols under the guidance of the Research Manager.
• Support in the training of interns and volunteers in field techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data collection methods.
• Contribute to the development of community outreach programs.
• Participate in discussions to enhance research strategies.
• Document fieldwork processes and findings accurately.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or a similar field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of field research experience preferred

• Statistical Software
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
