News Analyst/Reporter

Job Description

We are looking for a talented News Analyst/Reporter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, interviewing, writing, and presenting news stories, contributing to our mission of delivering accurate and up-to-date information to our audience.

Responsibilities

• Research and report on a variety of news events and trends, ensuring all stories are fact-checked and accurate.
• Create multimedia stories leveraging video, audio, and written content to enhance audience engagement.
• Attend various events, press conferences, and public appearances to gather news.
• Build and maintain relationships with sources to facilitate future news reporting.
• Engage with the audience through social media platforms, promoting stories and driving discussions.
• Continuously learn about best practices in journalism and emerging storytelling methods.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Journalism or Communications is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years' experience in multimedia reporting or journalism

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
