We are seeking a motivated Geological Technician to join our dynamic Geospatial Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in section plotting, mapping, and software tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate section plotting equipment to create accurate maps.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure precision in plotting.
• Assist in gathering geological data and necessary inputs for projects.
• Support the team in meeting project deadlines.
• Provide feedback on improvements to workflows and processes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations during operations.
• Participate in continuous learning initiatives to enhance skills.
• Maintain technical documentation of processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders when necessary.
• Assist in field surveys as required.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Geology or Environmental Science
• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in geological or geospatial technician roles

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of section plotting software
• Experience with field surveying tools

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with 3D modelling software: Knowledge of software for creating 3D geological models.
• Previous fieldwork experience: Hands-on experience in geological fieldwork.
