Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee construction projects in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning to execution. You will lead and mentor teams, ensuring adherence to safety and building regulations while also driving project efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all construction management activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project architects and engineers on design and construction details.
  • Monitor construction progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare detailed reports on costs, timelines, and resource usage.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Review and approve work completed by subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety protocols on-site.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication among all team members.
  • Incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders into project plans.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the construction team.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Building, Construction or equivalent
  • Degree in Construction Management preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
