Job Description

The Loading Rack Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of petroleum products at a refinery facility. This role ensures that safety standards are adhered to and that all personnel involved are well-trained and equipped.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of loading and unloading petroleum products.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure all loading procedures comply with regulations.
• Keep detailed logs of operations, equipment inspections, and maintenance schedules.
• Initiate training programs for new staff and regularly update existing team members on safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics operations.
• Respond to unexpected operational challenges with effective problem-solving skills.
• Ensure that loading area is clean and safe for operations at all times.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Relevant Diploma in Logistics or Operations Management

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the petroleum industry

Technical Skills

• Petroleum Industry Knowledge
• Terminal Operations

• Team Management
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Training
• First Aid Certification (Advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of ISO Standards: Familiarity with ISO standards relevant to the petroleum and chemical industries.
• Experience dealing with suppliers and customers: Strong background in managing relations with service providers and clients.
