We are seeking a skilled and passionate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical care to various animal species, ensuring their health and well-being. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills and a genuine love for animals.

Responsibilities

• Examine animal patients and establish treatment protocols.
• Provide surgical and medical treatments as needed.
• Communicate diagnostic findings and treatment plans to pet owners.
• Supervise veterinary assistants and ensure high levels of service.
• Assist in administrative duties when required.
• Facilitate client education related to animal nutrition and behaviour.
• Manage follow-up care and monitor recovery progress.
• Collaborate with specialists for advanced medical cases.
• Participate in continuing education workshops and training.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• DVM or equivalent from a recognized veterinary school
• Postgraduate qualification (optional, may be advantageous)

Experience

• 3+ years in companion animal practice preferred

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia Administration

Certifications

• Certified in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care
