Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and analyzing structures, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. You will work on a variety of exciting projects, contributing your expertise to create safe and efficient structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design efforts on various projects ensuring structural integrity.
• Coordinate with project teams to manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and preliminary design evaluations.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Seismic Design

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM): Hands-on experience with BIM technologies and processes.
• Familiarity with project delivery methods: Knowledge of design-bid-build and design-build delivery methods.
