We seek a skilled Environmental Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will focus on developing sustainable engineering solutions and conducting environmental assessments. This role is key in promoting eco-friendly practices within our projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments for new projects.
• Advise on best practices for resource conservation.
• Ensure environmental compliance throughout project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with local authorities and communities regarding environmental issues.
• Draft reports detailing findings and suggestions for mitigation.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented environmental solutions.
• Conduct site visits to monitor environmental conditions.
• Maintain updated knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Participate in public meetings and forums regarding environmental issues.
• Develop training programs for staff on environmental management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering
