Production Worker - Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Production Workers, specifically fitters, to join our dynamic engineering team. As a fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and equipment across various settings. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure the smooth functioning of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical systems in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Train junior staff on machinery operation and safety protocols.
• Document all maintenance and operational procedures.
• Support engineering with the design of new components.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to prevent failures.
• Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of components.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop area.
• Assist in sourcing materials and components as required.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Trade qualification in fitting or mechanical engineering is required.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic Systems Knowledge

Advantageous
