Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Advisor to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice, assist in drafting legal documents, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop legal strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.
  • Advise on employee relations and labor law issues.
  • Participate in risk assessment and management activities.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as required.
  • Identify potential legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Review and enhance internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training staff on compliance with legal standards.
  • Monitor international legal developments that impact the business.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the executive team.

Requirements

Education
  • LLB or equivalent qualification
  • Master's in Law preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in a legal advisory role
