Job Description

As a Meat, Poultry, and Fish Cutter or Trimmer, your role will involve preparing and processing high-quality meat and fish products. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all products meet health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute various cutting techniques to prepare meat, poultry, and fish products.
  • Ensure that all cuts meet the required specification and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting area at all times.
  • Assist in the training of new staff in cutting and trimming techniques.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Support the production team in achieving daily processing goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • Certificate in Butchery or Food Technology preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in meat cutting and packaging
Technical Skills
  • Understanding of Meat Quality Standards
  • Safe Equipment Operation

Certifications
  • HACCP Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with Quality Control: Background in quality control processes and standards.
